An Ayurvedic Medicine Business Development Officer (BDO) drives sales and market growth by building distributor networks, identifying new market opportunities (clinics, corporates), managing client relationships, executing marketing/sales campaigns (health camps), achieving targets, and analyzing market trends for Ayurvedic products, requiring strong negotiation and communication skills, often with a pharma/sales background.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new markets, build distributor/retailer networks, and expand the customer base for Ayurvedic products.
Sales & Target Achievement: Develop sales plans, achieve monthly/annual targets, and aggressively pursue revenue goals.
Client & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, distributors, retailers, and corporate clients.
Marketing & Promotion: Plan and execute promotional activities like health camps, product launches, and wellness workshops, promoting the benefits of Ayurveda.
Strategy & Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, track sales performance, and provide reports to management.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of Ayurvedic formulations, therapies, and product updates.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in Ayurvedic/Pharmaceutical sales, healthcare sales, or B2B sales.
Education: B.Pharm, B.Sc, MBA, BA, Marketing often preferred,.
Skills: Strong negotiation, communication (written/verbal), leadership, presentation, and analytical skills.
Attributes: Result-oriented, ability to work independently, strong focus on sales and market expansion, and knowledge of Ayurveda.
Typical Duties
1)Conduct field sales visits and joint calls with distributors.
2)Prepare and present business proposals and sales forecasts.
3)Monitor competitor activities and suggest improvements.
4)Update customers on product modifications.
5)Report on daily sales activities and market feedback.
